FG2C (First Generation to College) Brown Bag Mentoring Lunch Program
Need some help navigating through the maze of graduate/professional school? Wish you could talk with a mentor, but don’t know how to find one?
If you are a first generation to college(FG2C) student who is looking for mentoring, we’d like to help. Below you will find links to profiles of UCSF FG2C Faculty/Resident/Postdoctoral mentors grouped by school. You are welcome to sign up for a brown bag mentoring lunch opportunity with any of the mentors. To do so, please contact Neesha Patel, PhD at neesha.patel@ucsf.edu by indicating your interest in meeting up with a mentor. The brown bag mentoring lunch opportunity will involve having lunch with the mentor and possibly one other student so as to provide ample time to have a conversation that feels useful. Once you’ve signed up, you will be notified by email with details about where to meet your mentor, where to pick up your complimentary UCSF Bear Hugs gift certificates which are offered to help you pay for your lunch, and tips on how to make the most of your time with your mentor. We look forward to hearing from you!
