Immunizations Offered
SHCS nurses and medical assistants administer vaccinations, provide lab slips for titer checks, and dispense advice about your immunization status. Some vaccines are available on a drop-in basis; others require an appointment with the travel nurse or a provider. If you need to be screened for TB, see Annual TB Requirement unless you have already met your annual requirement, in which case you may walk-in to Parnassus or Mission Bay during business hours.
The following immunizations are available without an appointment:
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
• Mumps
• Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• Hepatitis A
• Hepatitis B
• Tetanus/Pertussis (TdaP)
• Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)*
• Influenza**
The following immunizations require an appointment:
• Yellow Fever
• Polio
• Typhoid Fever
• Meningococcal Meningitis
• Japanese Encephalitis
• Rabies
With the exceptions noted below, all vaccinations are covered at 100% of cost up to a total of $200.00 per academic calendar year. Costs above the $200 limit are due and payable at the time of vaccination. See Price List.

**Flu shots are available for medically-indicated students. UCSF Occupational health provides flu shot clinics for the campus. See Influenza Resources for flu information and Occupational Health for the clinic calendar.
