Patient Assistance Program

Programs called PAPs (patient assistance programs) provide free or low-cost medicine to qualifying patients who can not afford to pay for their medications. A number of patient assistance programs provide financial aide to patients who lack adequate prescription coverage and earn less than 200% of the federal poverty level. Based on the individual qualifying criteria, the patient will be directed to the programs that most likely meet their need. For additional information, please visit their websites: www.needymeds.com and www.pparx.org. To inquire about the PAPs and prescriptions at Student Health and Counseling, please email shs@ucsf.edu.
