Prescription Refills

Retail Pharmacy refill process

Call your pharmacy

Contact your pharmacy for refill requests. Processing of prescription refills can take 48 to 72 hours.

Pick up prescription refill from your pharmacy.

Walgreen’s, Parnassus Heights and Safeway are a few local pharmacies in network. (There is a $5 co-pay for generic prescriptions and a $25 co-pay for brand-name prescriptions.)

Please note that some medications, such as pain medication, might require a follow-up visit with your SHCS provider.

Mail-In refill process

Via OptumRx

There are several easy ways to order prescription refills. Please order at least 21 days before you need your medicine.

Online – Log-on to the OptumRx website. Go to the My Medicine Cabinet page and have copayments charged to a credit card.
By Mail – All orders are mailed with a reorder form. Just check the medications you want to refill and mail the form back to our mail order pharmacy, along with a check or your credit card information. Do not send cash in the mail.
By Phone – Our friendly customer service advocates are available by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
